New Polk County Public Schools Administrators Announced

Superintendent Jacqueline M. Byrd and the Polk County School Board approved the following appointments during the School Board’s April 26, 2016 meeting:

 

Brandon Craig, Director of Measurement, Evaluation and Research

Mr. Craig previously served as a psychometrician for Polk County Public Schools. He has a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary social science and a master’s in biostatistics from the University of South Florida. He is currently working toward a doctoral degree in educational research and measurement.

 

Alain Douge, Principal of Lake Gibson Middle

Mr. Douge previously served as assistant principal of Lake Gibson High. He has a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Florida Southern College, and a master’s in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

 

Valarie Henry, Assistant Principal of West Area Adult School

Ms. Henry previously served as community school administrator at Plant City Adult School. She has a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Tennessee State University, as well as a master’s in educational leadership and a doctoral degree in instructional leadership from Argosy University.

 

Michael Wright, Assistant Principal of Combee Elementary

Mr. Wright previously served as a math coach at Wahneta Elementary. He has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Florida Southern College, and a master’s in educational administrative leadership from Capella University.
