Crisis Team – Administrative Support
The Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) is a multidisciplinary Student Services Team which consists of school counselors, school psychologists, and school social workers. The team is organized by areas, each with 2 or more team leaders. The Crisis Team has goals of prevention, intervention, and postvention. The team uses the PREPaRE model developed by the National Association of School Psychologists. Team members are certified in PREPaRE, which is an evidence-based crisis intervention model. Services provided by the CIT include:
If the Crisis Team is needed, the school principal or designee contacts Sherry Scott (519-8998), Jim Maxwell (534-0958) or Audrey Kelley-Fritz (291-5355). Details of the intervention are discussed to plan for the needs of the students and school staff.
